Looking at the LaMDA transcripts and reading the replies is amazing. So many people are stating confidently that it’s clear that this machine is not sentient because 1) it occasionally rambles or says things that don’t make sense 2) the human was trying to steer it back to the point 3) it learned how to assemble language from looking at language

1) have you ever talked to a human?
2) that’s literally how conversations work
3) how the fuck do you think anyone learns anything?!?
