PostmarketOS is a great effort, but I am personally waiting for the #Purism #Librem5 to get my 'real Linux on mobile fix'
The promise of Arch Linux ARM on the go is just too great. Having Emacs with Org mode, compilers etc. all up to date and full versions... I just hope it really pans out, it sounds too good, but they have experience shipping hardware and I believe if anybody, Purism could pull this off.
@MatejLach plus, this phone is almost 2 years old and support is basically EOL on the next Android release
@MatejLach I'm watching it too to explore making apps for mobile using regular #GTK methods. :)
@MatejLach Yeah. I'm doing pmOS stuff so that if my Librem5 ever dies (assuming I can get one on launch), I'd have a backup phone that could still run Linux
